Chabura Spotlight: Isaac Forgash
Isaac Forgash is currently enjoying his third summer on NCSY Kollel. He attended TABC and Mevaseret and is planning on attending YU next year. This is Isaac’s first year as a Madrich.
Isaac’s chabura includes some of the best guys around: Noah Rabinowitz from Bergenfield (TABC), Shaya Verobeychik from Chicago (Shaarei Adirim), Gavriel Perl from Scarsdale (SAR), Mordechai Grossman from Ramat Beit Shemesh (Mesivta), and Zecharia Lebowitz from Ramat Beit Shemesh (Mesivta).
This summer, Isaac’s chabura will be focusing on understanding why we do what we do, and applying those understandings to better our daily lives and come to a deeper understand of ourselves. They will be learning about a variety of topics including understanding Teffilah, lessons of the churban, how we achieve and appreciate a life of torah, and much, much more. The goal of the learning is to establish a deeper understanding of ourselves, and become more in tune with our relationship to Hashem, by digging deep into our daily routine and finding new perspectives, that hopefully will help us all form a better relationship with Hashem.
The summer has been great so far and it should only get better from here!
Chabura Spotlight: David Silverman
David Silverman is currently enjoying his third summer on NCSY Kollel. He attended YULA and Sha’alvim and is planning on attending Sy Syms at YU next year. This is David’s first year as a Madrich.
David’s chabura includes some of the best guys around: Jon Elberg from Detroit (Farber), Natan Kaufman from Efrat (Yeshivat Orot Yehudah), Avi Pfeffer from West Hempstead (DRS), Jacob Wolfson from Cleveland (Fuchs Mizrachi), Mordechai Rogosnitzky from Manhattan (MTA), and Menachem Zwickler from West Orange (JEC).
This summer, David’s chabura will be focusing on deepening and strengthening our relationship with Hashem, ourselves, and klal yisroel. They will be learning about a variety of topics including judging others favorably, making our tefilla meaningful, our connection to tefillin, various topics regarding shabbos, discovering our strengths as individuals and using them toward improving the world, and much, much more. The goal of the learning is to become people that strive to be better ovdei Hashem.
The summer has been great so far and it should only get better from here!

Dovid Mandel is currently enjoying his third summer on NCSY Kollel. He attended Heichal and Sha’alvim and is planning on attending YU next year. This is Dovid’s first year as a Madrich.

This summer, Dovid’s chabura will be focusing on Pirkei Avos. They will be learning about a variety of topics including the importance of our Mesorah, middos, and our Avodas Hashem, and much, much more. The goal of the learning is discussions which help guide and focus our becoming as best bnei torah as we can be.

Chabura Spotlight: Zack Goldberg
Zack Goldberg is currently enjoying his second summer on NCSY Kollel. He attended DRS and Sha’alvim and is currently attending NYU. This is Zack’s first year as a Madrich.
Zack’s chabura includes some of the best guys around: Ezra Schechter from Bergenfield (MTA), Yonatan Burns from Bergenfield (MTA), Ephraim Boczko from Woodmere (DRS), Ari Zelefsky from Woodmere (DRS), and Moshe Rosenthal from West Hempstead (Rambam).
This summer, Zack’s chabura will be focusing on sugyos b’iyun that discuss practical inyanim. They will be learning about a variety of topics including Gambling, Davening for the sick, Burdening the tzibur, and much, much more. The goal of the learning is to try to realize that there is depth in everything that we do.

Chabura Spotlight: Jakey Friedman
Jakey Friedman is currently enjoying his third summer on NCSY Kollel. He attended Davis Renov Stahler Yeshiva High School for Boys and Sha’alvim and is currently in YU. This is Jakey’s first year as a Madrich.
Jakey’s chabura includes some of the best guys around: Adi from Cleveland, Zevi Burg from Bergenfield, New Jersey (MTA), Avrohom Rivkin from Teaneck, New Jersey (MTA), Meir Lanner from Boca Raton, Florida (Katz Yeshiva High School), Ayden Frank from Hollywood, Florida (Katz Yeshiva High School), and Eitan Joel from Beachwood, Cleveland, Ohio (Fuchs Mizrachi).
This summer, Jakey’s chabura be focusing on topics pertaining to the Daily Routine, both in terms of the halacha as well as machshava. They will be learning about a variety of topics including Netilas Yadayim in the morning, Tzitzis, Tefillin, and learning Torah, and much, much more. The goal of the chabura is to gain a love for learning Torah, as well as acquiring a much deeper appreciation for the “daily grind” while actually understanding the mitzvos that we do everyday and why we do them.

Akiva Levy is currently enjoying his first summer on NCSY Kollel. He attended Beren Academy and Orayta and is currently in Yeshiva University. This is Akiva’s first year as a Madrich.

This summer, Akiva’s chabura will be focusing on various Halacha/Machshava topics. They will be learning about a variety of topics including Why wear Tzitzis?, What fabric can Tzitzis be made out of?, and much, much more. The goal of the learning is an exposure to every day topics on a deeper, more fundamental level.

Eitan Warburg is currently enjoying his third summer on NCSY Kollel. He attended MTA and Sha’alvim and is planning on attending Yeshiva University next year. This is Eitan’s first year as a Madrich.

This summer, Eitan’s chabura will be focusing on how to infuse Torah in our daily life activities with the goal of becoming a true Ben Torah.. They will be learning about a variety of topics including tefillah, sports scenarios and the beauty of shabbos along with many other halachik and hashkafik topics relating to ones daily life. The goal of the learning is to ultimately come away from this chabura realizing how one can become a true Baal Middot and Ben Torah while also realizing how enjoyable is can be to live a life like this.

Moshe Maltz is currently enjoying his second summer on NCSY Kollel. He attended DRS and Sha’alvim and is currently in YU. This is Moshe’s first year as a Madrich.

This summer, Moshe’s chabura will be focusing on Shabbos Topics and its מצוות עשה. They will be learning about a variety of topics including Making Early Shabbos, The Origin of Zemiros at the Shabbos Table, Kavod and Oneg Shabbos on a Practical Level, Why We Cover the Challah, and much, much more. The goal of the learning is to gain a stronger appreciation for the many aspects of Shabbos and avodas Hashem in general.

Moshe Strauss is currently enjoying his third summer on NCSY Kollel. He attended DRS and Yeshivat Sha’alvim and is planning on attending YU next year. This is Moshe’s first year as a Madrich.

The goal of the learning is to enhance one’s shabbos by learning the different aspects more in depth.
