Isaac Shulman is spending his fifth straight summer on Kollel. This is his first summer as a madrich. He attended NCSY Kollel as a camper, was part of the first Kollel CIT program and was a Junior Madrich. Isaac is from Englewood, NJ.
The NCSYers in Isaac’s chabura are Binyamin Davidson (Queens, NY), Yossi Etshalom (Los Angeles, CA), Abbie Hill (Brooklyn, NY), Rafi Sanders (Chashmonaim), Meir Skaist (Richmond, VA), and Tzvi Strauss (Queens, NY).
Together, the chabura is learning about the structure of the succah and its meaning as they go through the first perek of Maseches Succah. So far, they have dealt with the mitzvah to build a sukkah, as well as various topics surrounding the unique status of the sukkah.
Yossi Etshalom commented that the chaburah is “both entertaining and informative. We combine learning detailed and complex halachos with their deeper and conceptual ideas in a way that illuminates the true meaning of the succah.”
