July 15 – Just a “normal” day.
Today was a very exciting day on the Kollel (as usual). After davening, Rav Schachter’s halacha shiur and breakfast the NCSYers had awesome morning shiurim. The beis medresh atmosphere was electric during chavrusah time. After lunch, the beis stayed rockin’ with chaburahs.
The afternoon had its own set of enjoyable activities. There was a visit to the fascinating and exciting Slifkin museum in Beit Shemesh. On the courts, multiple games went into overtime and one game ended with a buzzer beater three.
The day ended where it began: in the beis. The NCSYers were able to have an awesome night seder learning with Madrichim and going to their night shiurim. The day ended with 4 full busses headed to Harei Eilat.

July 14th – Off to the Races!
July 14th – Off to the Races!
NCSY Kollel continued forward this Sunday, still riding high off of our amazing Shabbos together. A strong Morning Seder was followed by lunch and mincha after which the special activity of the day was revealed.
Every chaburah chose from a number of exciting options which contained some sort of activity and food. Choices ranged from the pool, to apache relay races, to soccer. Chaburas had to quickly decide on an option and snag a spot on the trip they wanted. An abbreviated league break was followed by the activities themselves win which much ruach and fun was had.
Night Seder had a special twist as well. NCSY Kollel was joined for the night by the TJJ bus from the West Coast. Kids from public school learned side-by-side with their peers from Yeshiva day school in a beautiful moment of brotherhood.
Stay with us for more exciting updates as the summer progresses.

July 13th- Shabbos Kodesh!
Shabbos on NCSY Kollel is always a highlight of the summer, however this shabbos, was absolutely indescribable. Shabbos began with a beautiful kabbalas shabbos, and words of Torah from Rabbi Benovitz reminding the NCSYers to carve out their own hopes and dreams for the summer, and to set remind themselves of how much they could accomplish in just 6 weeks of being on Kollel. Our tisch on Friday night, highlighted by words of Torah from Rav Mordechai Burg was electrifying, and the words of song filled the air until the late hours of the evening. Shabbos day had its share of highlights as well with chaburahs, shiurim and hanging out with each other beginning to develop friendships that will last a lifetime. We ended shabbos with words of torah from Rabbi Lebowitz and the beautiful sun set over the hills of yerushalayim highly anticipating our first full week of NCSY Kollel.
After shabbos, all NCSYers had the unique opportunity to travel to their rabbeims homes for a maleve malka, all post 11th graders made their way to Kraft stadium for a football tournament followed by melave malka at the world famous Halo Tayman shwarma store, and staff were privileged to hear from the dean on RIETS, Rabbi Menachem Penner, to close out a most inspiring shabbos.
We are looking forward to a jam packed week here in Bet Meir, and throughout the land of Israeli, stay tuned for updates!

July 11th- Launch the Learning!
It was a day of firsts on NCSY Kollel. The first morning Seder was cut short to make time for the first chaburot. Both learning slots had a ton of energy as the kol torah echoed through the Beit Medrash and classrooms.
After lunch and Mincha, kollel left for its first tiyul of the summer. The NCSYers split off into 8 separate trips. Everyone came back exhausted but happy.
But the day wasn’t yet done. The night saw the launching of our famous night Seder program. Campers and staff learnt bchavrusa and night Rebbeim gave shiur as the learning lasted late into the night.
