Joey Mogilner is currently enjoying his second summer on NCSY Kollel. He attended SAR High School and Yeshivat Torat Shraga and is about to start his final year at YU. This is Joey’s first year as a Madrich.
Joey’s chabura is made up of 4 of the best guys around: Dovid Wurzel from Passaic (Heichal Hatorah), Aryeh Sabo from Bergenfield (MTA), Gavi Wagner from Teaneck (MTA), and Yehuda Rabinowich from Passaic (Heichal Hatorah)
This summer, Joey’s chabura will be focusing on Inyanei Shabbos. They will be learning about a variety of topics including what makes shabbos different than any other mitzvah, why on shabbos are we commanded to engage in more physical pleasures than the rest of the week, despite it being a day of holiness, as well as understanding the tefilos and zemiros of shabbos, and much, much more. The goal of the learning is to better understand and relate to perhaps the most time-consuming and foundational mitzvah that we are commanded to observe.
The summer has been great so far and it should only get better from here!
