Noam Mayerfeld is currently enjoying his second summer on NCSY Kollel. He attended MTA and KBY and is planning on attending YU next year. This is Noam’s first year as a Madrich.
Noam’s chabura is made up of some of the best guys around: Shimmy Boshnack from Brooklyn (MAY), Zach Hawk from Woodmere (MAY), Yitzi Shpelfogel from Manhattan Beach (MAY), Yitzy Loew from Highland Park (JEC), Sam Miodownik from Highland Park (JEC), and Ezra Wiener from Memphis (Margolin Hebrew Academy).
This summer, Noam’s chabura will be focusing on the study of different mitzvos, to have a clearer understanding of what we are actually doing and why. They will be learning about a variety of topics including tefillin, mezuzah, sukkah, shmittah, Kiddush, havdala, tefillah, brachos, and much, much more. The goal of the learning is walk out with the sense that there is so much behind living a life of mitzvos and so much purpose and value within each one, as well as have the ability to look into different mitzvos that interest us, on our own.
All of this has combined for what continues to be an incredible summer!
