Netanel Eckman’s first-time experience on NCSY Kollel is off to a fantastic start this summer. Netanel, from the small, “off the map” town of Teaneck, enjoyed a delightful four-year stretch of ball, schmoozing, learning, and some more ball in the halls of TABC. After those four extremely quick years, Netanel’s next two years flew by as well while learning in Eretz Yisroel at Mevaseret. The next couple of years for Netanel will be spent learning at Yeshiva University, while taking some classes in the Sy Syms School of Business.
“Eck’s Chabu Chevra” has an extremely diverse range of kids, three coming from Philadelphia attending the Mesivta, and two coming from the holy city of Los Angeles while attending YULA. Starting with the LA chevra, we have Judah Hirschel and David Goel. Since these two come from YULA, they are always the first to arrive at chabura and push every day to maximize their learning time. Coming from the other side of the land, we have Shaked Ben David, Yeshaya Badush, and Yehuda Barnett. These three are the life of the party, ensuring that no chabura session goes by without getting the chevra into a joyful mood. Although the three musketeers aren’t related, they look very similar to one another and share extremely similar characteristics.
At the end of the day, the three animated Philly gavras meshed with the two LA bachurim, combined with their in-town madrich, make for one astounding, awe-inspiring chabura of fine young men striving to grow into wholehearted עובדי ה׳ and בני תורה.
